Using the T1-11 exterior siding that was removed from the door opening, nail the 1×4 trim to the door using 1 1/4″ finishing nails (see details above).
2- 3 feet 9 inch 1×4 trim will be on the top and bottom (stile). 2- 6 feet ½ inch 1×4 trim on both sides (upright).1- 3 feet 2 inch 1×4 trim in center (stile).
Nail the 1×4 trim to the door opening as shown above. 2- 1×4 trim 6 feet 7 1/2″ on both sides of door opening (jamb). 1- 1×4 trim 4 feet 6 inches on top of door opening (lintel). Both end will stick out 1 inch.
Install door hinges to the top and bottom of the 1×4 stile and to 1×4 jamb. Install door latch.
