Cut the 7′ 2×4 as shown above, this will be the top of the arbor. The 4′ x 2″ piece that is cut out will be used on top, see details below.
Nail the 4′ x 2″ piece that was cut out to the top using 2 1/2″ finishing nails. See details above.
Cut the 1×2 to 1′ 3″. Nail 1 1/2″ finishing nails into the 1×2 and into the 2×4. See details above.
Cut 4 2 x 4’s to 6′ 9″. Cut 12 1 x 2’s to 1′. Assemble as shown above using 2 1/2″ finishing nails.
Drill holes and install the 3 1/2″ carriage bolts. See details above.
